2012 Clovis Hyundai
Sonata: Coming off its
introductory year, the 2012 Sonata 2.0T adds some new features and the addition
of Blue Link as a standard feature on all Sonatas. A three-piece panoramic
sunroof is now standard on Sonata Limited, there’s a new seven-inch
touch-screen navigation setup with HD radio and the SE with Sunroof and
Navigation Package offers an available backup camera. Most significant is the
addition of Blue Link as standard equipment on all Sonatas. Blue Link provides
up-to-the-minute traffic and weather, along with a lifeline to emergency
services and roadside assistance. 2012
Clovis Hyundai Sonata
owners can sync to a smart phone and locate their Sonata in a crowded parking
lot. Parents can track where young drivers are and how fast they’re driving. At
the heart of the 2.0T is a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, direct-injection,
four-cylinder engine producing 274 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque. The
2.0T achieves EPA-estimated fuel economy of 22 mpg city and 34 mpg highway. Sonata
comes with a full complement of safety features, including front, side and side-curtain
airbags, front safety belt pre-tensioners, stability and traction control.
2012 Clovis Hyundai Elantra: Building on the new Elantra
introduced for 2011, Hyundai adds several enhancements for 2012, including an
Active ECO system that modifies engine and automatic transmission control to
smooth out throttle response and increase real-world mileage by as much as 7
percent. Also on tap are dual horns to better get the attention of distracted drivers,
new steering calibration for better on-center feel, fog lights and
passenger-side sun visor extension added to the GLS Preferred Package, optional
roadside assistance kit and three new exterior colors. Two trim levels are
available, GLS and Limited, both four-door sedans. Elantra’s standard safety
features includes four-wheel antilock disc brakes with electronic brake-force
distribution and emergency braking assist, vehicle stability management,
electronic stability and traction control, and six airbags. The 2011

earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s “Top Safety Pick” award.
EPA-estimated fuel economy comes in at 29 mpg city and 40 mpg highway.
2012 Clovis Hyundai
Santa Fe: The 2012 Santa
Fe adds two new colors, a restyled front grille, standard Downhill Brake
Control, standard low-rolling resistance tires for the GLS model with 17-inch
wheels and a premium leather shift knob. The Santa Fe boasts more cargo volume
than the Chevrolet Equinox despite being 3.7 inches shorter, and the V-6 model
achieves better fuel economy than the Equinox, Ford Edge and Toyota RAV4 V-6
models. EPA-estimated fuel economy for the four-cylinder, automatic
transmission Santa Fe is 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. The V-6 with automatic
returns 20 city and 26 highway. The 2012
Clovis Santa Fe’s
available all-wheel drive is electronically controlled and routes power to the
wheels with the best traction. The driver can also turn on AWD lock to fix
torque at a 50/50 front-to-rear split. Safety features include front, side and
side-curtain airbags, electronic stability control, antilock brakes with
electronic force distribution and emergency braking assist, tire pressure
monitoring and rollover sensors for the side-curtain airbags.

Tucson: Hyundai makes
significant additions and changes for the 2012 Tucson, includingimproved highway fuel economy up to 32 mpg,
the Active ECO System, which modifies engine and transmission operations to
improve fuel consumption, low rolling resistance tires, solar glass standard on
all models, increased fuel capacity, larger front brakes, up-rated Sachs
Amplitude Selective Dampers added to Tucson GLS, larger rear suspension
bushings and side mirrors with integrated turn signals added to GLS. Two
four-cylinder engines power the Tucson; a 2.0-liter producing 165 horsepower
and 146 lb.-ft. of torque, and a 2.4-liter rated at 176 horsepower 168 lb.-ft.
of torque with Federal emissions; those built to California’s standards develop
170 horsepower and 163 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed automatic is available on
all 2012
Clovis Hyundai Tucson
models and standard on the GLS and Limited, while the GL comes standard with a
five-speed manual gearbox. All-wheel drive is optional on the GLS and Limited
models, and sends power to the front wheels under normal conditions to improve
fuel economy.

Genesis:The Hyundai Genesis is a luxury sedan
that offers a choice of powerful engines – at a price that's considerably less
than similarly appointed competitors. New for 2012 is a 5.0 R-Spec mode, and a
more powerful base V-6 engine. In addition to the 5.0 R-Spec model, the model
lineup consists of the 3.8 and 4.6. The 2012
Clovis Hyundai
Genesis 3.8 is powered by a
3.8-liter V-6 engine that produces 333 horsepower and 291 lb.-ft. of torque.
The 4.6 model gets a 4.6-liter V-8 developing 378 horsepower and 324 lb.-ft. of
torque with regular gasoline and 385 horsepower and 333 lb.-ft. of torque with
premium gas. The Genesis 5.0 R-Spec has a 5.0-liter V-8 that makes 429
horsepower and 376 lb.-ft. of torque. All models have an eight-speed automatic
transmission with manual shift control. Rear-wheel drive is standard on all
models. Safety features include antilock brakes with brake assist, traction and
stability control, active front head restraints, front and rear side airbags,
and side curtain airbags. Optional on the 3.8 and standard on the 4.6 and 5.0
R-Spec models are parking sensors, a rearview camera, and lane-departure
warning.
2012 Clovis Hyundai Veracruz:The Veracruz is a midsize crossover SUV that offers a good ride,
superior handling, and a quiet high-quality interior. It features a surprising
number of luxury features for an affordably-priced SUV and competes with
higher-priced rivals. There are two models available: GLS and Limited. New
features for 2012 include a redesigned grille and available updated 18-inch
alloy wheels. The Limited now has heated second-row seats and an optional
Alpine navigation system. The 2012
ClovisHyundai Veracruz
is powered by a 3.8-liter V-6 engine producing 260-horsepower and 257 lb.-ft.
of torque teamed to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual control. An
optional all-wheel-drive system features a lock mode to split torque 50:50,
front to rear, at low speeds. Standard safety features include antilock brakes
with electronic brakeforce distribution, stability and traction control,
front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags, and active front head
restraints.
2012 Clovis Hyundai
Veloster:The Veloster is a new model from
Hyundai that reinterprets the hatchback with sporty styling that incorporates a
unique three-door design. The Veloster has a roomy interior that seats four,
has lots of room for cargo, includes high technology features like a standard
7-inch touch screen, and gets impressive fuel economy. Built on a modified
Elantra platform, the Veloster is available in one base model only. Powering
the 2012 Hyundai Veloster is a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine that
develops 138 horsepower and 123 lb.-ft. of torque mated to a standard six-speed
manual transmission. An automated dual-clutch manual transmission (DCT) with
steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles is available as an option. Estimated fuel
economy is 28 mpg city/40 mpg highway for the manual transmission. The DCT is
rated at 29 mpg city/38 mpg highway. Standard safety equipment on the 2012
ClovisHyundai Veloster
includes antilock disc brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, traction
and stability control, front-seat side airbags, and full-length side curtain
airbags. Hyundai's BlueLink telematics system supplies crash notification and
SOS assistance.
2012 Clovis Hyundai Genesis Coupe: The Genesis Coupe is an affordable
sports car that's aimed at competing with the Infiniti G37 coupe but at a
significantly lower price point. The rear-wheel drive Genesis Coupe has it all:
style, luxury, performance, and handling. The 2012 Clovis
Hyundai Genesis Coupe is offered
in six trim levels: 2.0T, 2.0T R-Spec, 2.0T Premium, 3.8 R-Spec, 3.8 Grand
Touring, and 3.8 Track. For 2012, the Hyundai Genesis Coupe gets additional
power and a mild styling refresh that includes slightly revised front and rear
styling. The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is powered by either a turbocharged
2.0-liter inline-4 engine (2.0T models) or a 3.8-liter V-6 (3.8 models). The
four produces 210 horsepower and 223 lb.-ft. of torque and utilizes new
Variable Intake System (VIS) , resulting in outstanding off-the-line
acceleration, passing performance, and fuel efficiency. The V-6 makes 306
horsepower and 266 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2.0T has a choice of a six-speed
manual transmission or a five-speed automatic with manual shift. The R-Spec
gets only the manual, and the Premium is only available with the automatic. The
3.8 models have a choice between the manual or a six-speed automatic with
manual shift.
